Yard Sale Policy

AHHA Yard Sale Policy

(Revised 8/2019)

  1. All signs used for the Yard Sale must be approved by PPM. A sign for the neighborhood will be placed outside the gates and at the street the week before the sale. Residents may post signs in their yard and at any intersection on the route to their house. Residents may not post signs outside the gates.
  2. The resident is responsible for any advertising in newspapers or online, etc. The resident’s gate code should not be published in any advertisement.
  3. The resident should hire or enlist someone to control traffic in the area of the garage sale. Cars should be parked on one side of the street only to facilitate cars and emergency vehicles ability to access all houses in the neighborhood. As always, our parking rules must be followed.
  4. It is the responsibility of the resident to put up and take down any signage by 5PM the day of the sale.
  5. If unsold items are to be picked up after the garage sale by an organization such as Oak Mountain or Good Will, please have the truck pickup during the hours the gates are open. Sale items are not to be left outside after the sale is over.
  6. Garage sales are not permitted on any other days unless approved by PPM. The gates are open on Sunday from 1PM - 5PM. You may have a garage sale then; however, PPM should be notified and any signs must be approved by PPM.
  7. Residents must notify PPM by noon Wednesday of the week before the sale. If no one has notified PPM by noon Wednesday, the sign will not be put out and the sale will be cancelled.
